Peter is Leaving

Peter Bennett is leaving Minneapolis in mid-September, and hoping to make a go of it in the UK or thereabouts.

Friends and colleagues have asked me where they can see me off. I’ve planned a week of events. This page has a schedule of activities.

Some are more geared towards friends or work-related crowds, but those groups blend in my world. I trust you can find some events that fits how I know you.

All of the details haven’t been set, so saving this page (peterispedaling.com/bye) is the best way to stay informed. Some activities will have a location or map added as it gets closer.

I don’t do much on social media, but I would recommend LinkedIn to stay in touch. My cell number is also way to reach me on WhatsApp.

  • This ride will be a faster pace, but not a road ride. We’ll cruise around some trails in the Twin Cities metro area. About 40 miles or so.

    I like to pick out routes through the suburbs that are a little twisty but surprisingly pleasant. I’ve heard it can’t be done, but the challenge I accepted is finding a way through Arden Hills and Shoreview.

    Notes: This mapping app thinks a few trails are closed that I suspect are actually open. This should reduce the distance significantly, down to around 40 miles.

    The ride is happening, rain or shine! If there is a downpour we will find shelter.

  • It’s hard to find people at the Minnesota State Fair, but maybe we will meet up?

  • Ride route will be similar on the colleague happy hour. I’m condensing these two rides into one! No ride on Sunday.

  • My work colleagues will go on a short ride and meet at a bar. Any planning-adjacent or transportation-curious friends are welcome to join.

  • This might be my last climb at the ropes gym that I spent a lot of time at. Let’s get a big group climbing!
